Terms of Service

Last updated: October 5, 2026

These terms are a template written to match how Flexbot works. They have not yet been reviewed by a lawyer, and bracketed items still need to be filled in.

The short version

  • Your first 14 days are free with 100 AI credits. No card required. Choosing a paid plan sooner ends the trial that day.
  • After that, plans are Starter $5/month (100 credits), Pro $19/month (400) and Max $99/month (2,000). Or use your own Anthropic key for free.
  • A Standard AI request uses 1 credit, a Smart one 5 credits. Running saved flexes is free. No overage charges, ever. Credits reset monthly and don't roll over.
  • Cancel any time; your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, and your flexes keep running after that.
  • Flexes are your scripts. Review them before you save, and don't use Flexbot to harm, spam or deceive anyone, or to break other sites' rules.

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and [Company legal name] (“Flexbot”, “we”, “us”) covering the Flexbot browser extension, the Flexbot service at flex.bot that the extension can use, and this website (together, the “service”). By installing the extension or creating an account, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use Flexbot for an organization, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for it.

2. The service

Flexbot is an AI-assisted userscript manager. When you ask, its AI writes a small JavaScript program (a “flex”) for the page you're on. A draft may run once as a preview on that tab; you review it, and nothing is saved until you click Save. Saved flexes run in your browser on the sites you chose, automatically, on demand or on a schedule. You can also write, edit, import and export userscripts by hand.

Flexbot runs flexes with Chrome's userScripts API, which requires desktop Chrome 138 or newer and Chrome's “Allow User Scripts” setting to be switched on for Flexbot. Flexes change pages only in your own browser; they don't change the website itself or what anyone else sees.

3. Your account

  • An account is needed only for Flexbot credits. You sign in with your email address and a one-time code; keep your email secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
  • Give us an email address you control, and keep it up to date.
  • You're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us promptly at hello@flex.bot if you think someone else has used it.

4. Free trial

New accounts get a free trial of 14 days with 100 AI credits. No payment method is needed. Each person can have one trial; we may refuse or end a trial that was created to get around this, including through email-address variations.

Choosing a paid plan during the trial ends the trial right away: the plan's full credits start that day, and leftover trial days and credits don't carry over.

When the trial ends without a paid plan, your saved flexes keep running and you can keep editing, exporting and importing them. AI features (creating or changing flexes with AI, and flex.ai() calls from your scripts) stop until you choose a plan or switch to your own Anthropic key. Unused trial credits don't carry over.

5. Plans and credits

Starter$5 per month100 per month
Pro$19 per month400 per month
Max$99 per month2,000 per month

  • What uses credits. One Standard AI request (asking Flexbot to create or change a flex) uses 1 credit; a Smart request, which uses a stronger model, uses 5 credits. Each flex.ai() call made by a running flex uses 1 credit, for up to about 30,000 characters of input (longer input is truncated).
  • What's free. Running saved flexes that don't call flex.ai() (on page load, on demand or on a schedule), editing code by hand, switching flexes on and off, deleting, exporting and importing.
  • Never charged. Requests that fail or produce nothing, and one automatic “Fix it” retry when a newly generated flex throws an error on its first run.
  • Resets. Credits reset at the start of each billing period. Unused credits don't roll over and have no cash value.
  • No overage. We never charge for usage beyond your plan. When credits run out, AI features pause until you upgrade or your next period starts.
  • Limits that protect you. Flexes that call the AI can't be scheduled more often than every 60 minutes, other scheduled flexes not more often than every 15 minutes, and each flex has a daily limit on AI calls, which you can adjust in Flexbot's settings.

We may change prices or credit amounts for future billing periods. We'll tell you at least [30] days before a price change affects your plan, and you can cancel before it does.

6. Billing and plan changes

  • Seller and payments. Flexbot, not Google, is the seller. Payments are processed by Stripe. Paid plans renew automatically each month until you cancel. Prices are in US dollars and [exclude / include] applicable taxes.
  • Upgrading starts a fresh monthly period on the day you upgrade, with the new plan's full credits. You pay the new plan's price minus the unused time of your current plan, and your billing date moves to that day. An upgrade applies once its payment succeeds.
  • Downgrading takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep your current plan and its credits until then.
  • Renewals. Until a renewal payment is confirmed, only part of the new period's credits may be usable. If a payment fails, AI features pause until it's resolved; your saved flexes keep running.

7. Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel at any time from Plans & billing → Manage billing in Flexbot, which opens Stripe's customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: your plan and its credits stay available until then, nothing more is charged, and your saved flexes keep running afterwards.

Except where the law requires otherwise, payments for a billing period that has started aren't refundable, and unused credits aren't refunded. If something went wrong (a charge you don't recognize, a duplicate charge, or the service not working for you), email hello@flex.bot within [30] days and we'll look into it and make it right. [Counsel to add statutory withdrawal rights (e.g. EU/UK 14-day right) and how using credits affects them.]

8. Your own Anthropic key

Instead of Flexbot credits, you can use your own Anthropic API key. Then the extension sends AI requests directly from your browser to Anthropic, no Flexbot account is needed, and Flexbot charges nothing. Your use of Anthropic's API is governed by your agreement with Anthropic, and you're responsible for its charges and for keeping your key secure. The key is stored only in the extension's private storage on your device. Credit limits don't apply in this mode, but the same review, safety checks and content rules do.

9. Open source and self-hosting

Flexbot's source code is published under the MIT License, which governs your use of the code itself. These terms govern the service we operate at flex.bot. If you run your own Flexbot server, or point the extension's Custom server URL at someone else's server, that server isn't our service: these terms and our Privacy Policy don't cover it, and its operator is responsible for it. The MIT License doesn't grant rights to use the Flexbot name or logo to suggest endorsement. [Counsel to confirm trademark wording.]

10. Your scripts

  • Flexes are your userscripts: written by Flexbot's AI because you asked, or written, edited or imported by you. Flexbot generates code only when you ask. A draft may run once as a preview on the tab you're looking at; nothing is saved or registered until you've reviewed it and clicked Save, and Flexbot never changes a saved flex without showing you the change first.
  • A flex can read and change the pages it runs on, click and type on them, and (only if you approve it) talk to the network for the sites it names. Read the review card, and the code, before you save, especially on sensitive sites.
  • You're responsible for the flexes you save and run, including their effect on the sites they run on and on your accounts there.

11. Acceptable use

Don't use Flexbot, or ask it, to:

  • get around paywalls, log-ins, or other access controls;
  • download or stream copyrighted material without permission;
  • get around another AI service's safeguards or usage limits;
  • send messages, posts or submissions on your behalf without letting you confirm the content and recipients first, or send spam;
  • inject ads, affiliate links or coupons into sites without your action;
  • capture other people's credentials, payment details or personal data;
  • mine cryptocurrency, run high-frequency bots that grab slots or items the moment they appear, or otherwise overload or interfere with other services;
  • break the law, or the terms of the sites you use;
  • reverse-engineer, overload or attack our service, share an account, or resell credits.

Flexbot's AI is designed to refuse requests like these, and we may suspend accounts that keep trying.

12. Your content and AI output

Your prompts and your flexes are yours. You give us permission to process what you send only to provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. Flexes are generated by AI and may not do exactly what you intended, may be incomplete, or may stop working when a website changes. Check the result before relying on it, and don't rely on a modified page for anything important (such as prices, legal text, or medical or financial information) without checking the original.

13. Other websites

Flexbot works on websites we don't own, control or endorse. We're not responsible for their content, availability or terms, and some sites have rules about automation that apply to you. Some pages can't run flexes, including Chrome's own pages, the Chrome Web Store, and some apps that draw their content on a canvas.

14. Changes to the service or these terms

We may update the service and these terms. If a change to these terms is material, we'll tell you by email or in the extension at least [30] days before it takes effect. If you keep using Flexbot after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, cancel and stop using the service.

15. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Flexbot at any time, and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, don't pay amounts owed, or use the service in a way that could harm others or the service; where reasonable, we'll tell you first. Flexes stored on your device keep working without an account. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as amounts owed, disclaimers and limitation of liability) survive termination.

16. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or work on every website, or that AI-generated code will be correct. [Counsel to adapt for consumer-protection laws that limit disclaimers.]

17. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and [USD 50]. [Counsel to review.]

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], and disputes will be resolved in the courts of [venue], except where the law of your place of residence requires otherwise.

19. Contact and seller

The seller of Flexbot plans is [Company legal name, postal address, phone (trader details)]. Questions: hello@flex.bot.
